Halloween is the spookiest time of the year. While there are many celebrating with costume parties, children dress up as ghosts, princesses, zombies, and many others as they go house to house to fill their bags full of candy. In celebration of this holiday that occurs on October 31, here are some quotes:
"First of all, it was October, a rare month for boys."-Ray Bradbury
"A grandmother pretends she doesn't know who you are on Halloween."-Erma Bombeck
"Nothing on Earth so beautiful as the final haul on Halloween night."-Steve Almond
"There is a sacred horror about everything grand. It is easy to admire mediocrity and hills; but whatever is too lofty, a genius as well as a mountain, an assembly as well as a masterpiece, seen too near, is appalling."-Victor Hugo
"Witch and ghost make merry on this last of dear October's days."-Unknown
"Shadows of a thousand years rise again unseen, Voices whisper in the trees, "Tonight is Halloween!"-Dexter Kozen
"From ghoulies and ghosties and long leggety beasties and things that go bump in the night, Good Lord, deliver us!"-Unknown
